BIMI generator

Turn your SVG logo into the SVG Tiny PS file BIMI requires, then write the DNS record that points inboxes to it. Everything runs in your browser.

1Make the logo SVG Tiny PS

BIMI only accepts a square SVG in the SVG Tiny PS format. Choose the SVG your designer or design tool exported; it is converted here in your browser and never uploaded.

2Publish the logo (and certificate)

  • Upload the SVG to your website so it opens at an https:// address, for example https://example.com/bimi/logo.svg. It must be public and served without a login or redirect to a login page.
  • For Gmail and Apple Mail, buy a mark certificate (a VMC for a registered trademark, or a CMC for a logo used for at least a year; Apple Mail needs a VMC) from DigiCert, Entrust, GlobalSign or SSL.com. Send them this exact SVG, then publish the .pem file they give you next to the logo.
  • Your DMARC policy must be p=quarantine or p=reject for all mail. Check it with the DNS check.

3Add the DNS record

Type
TXT
Name / Host
default._bimi
Full name
default._bimi.example.com
Value
v=BIMI1; l=https://example.com/logo.svg;
TTL
Automatic, or 3600

Most DNS panels want only default._bimi as the name and add the domain themselves. When the record is live, test it with the BIMI checker.

What the converter changes

Before you publish

Text should be converted to outlines in your design tool, because the fonts may not exist where the logo is shown. Keep the file under 32 KB. If you get a VMC or CMC, the certificate authority embeds the exact file you send them, and inboxes compare it with the one at l=, so publish that same file.

Your files

The logo is read and converted in this page; nothing is uploaded to VayaMail. When the record is live, the BIMI checker downloads the logo and certificate from your server to test them.
