Why tables and inline styles
Email apps are not web browsers. Gmail removes most <style> blocks and class names, and Outlook on Windows draws messages with the Word engine, which ignores flexbox, grid and many CSS properties. A signature built from nested tables, with every style written on the element itself, is the layout every email app understands. That is what this creator produces: no classes, no style sheet, no scripts, sizes in pixels.
Photos and logos
You can upload a photo or logo: it is resized to a square in your browser and embedded in the signature, which Outlook, Apple Mail and Thunderbird keep when you paste it. Gmail drops images embedded in the HTML itself, so for Gmail either add the image with Gmail’s own Insert image button (Download gives you the resized file) or use a link to a PNG or JPG that you host, for example on your own website. Gmail and Outlook don’t show SVG images. The social icons are small PNG files served from vayamail.com. Some recipients see images only after they click “show images”; the alt text stands in until then. Outlook on Windows also shows round photos as squares.
Add it to your email app
- Gmail (web): Settings (gear) → See all settings → General → Signature → Create new. Paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V, then Save changes at the bottom of the page.
- Outlook (new Outlook and Outlook on the web): Settings → Account → Signatures. Paste into the editor, give it a name, choose it for new messages and replies, and save.
- Outlook classic for Windows: File → Options → Mail → Signatures → New. Paste into the edit box and set it as the default for new messages and replies.
- Apple Mail (Mac): Mail → Settings → Signatures, pick the account, press +, and paste into the right-hand box. Untick “Always match my default message font”, or Mail replaces the fonts.
- Thunderbird: Account Settings → your account → tick “Use HTML” under Signature text and paste the HTML source (Copy HTML), or save the file with Download .html and choose “Attach the signature from a file instead”.
- iPhone and iPad Mail: Settings → Apps → Mail → Signature keeps only simple formatting; tables and images usually don’t survive. A short text signature works best there.
Your data
The signature is generated in your browser. What you type, and a photo or logo you upload, are kept only in this browser’s local storage, so they are still there next time; use Remove or Clear all to delete them. Nothing is uploaded to VayaMail.
